Carlton Gardens Wedding

A Beautiful Wedding in Carlton Gardens

Being a marriage celebrant is always an honor, but some weddings stay with you forever. The last one I did, in Carlton Gardens, was one of those. The day was warm, but not too hot, and the gardens looked so beautiful. The Royal Exhibition Building stood tall in the background, and it added such a magical touch to every photo. You couldn’t miss it—it was just there, making everything feel even more special.

The couple had set up a Sofreh Aghd for their Persian ceremony. It was so beautiful, full of tradition and meaning. The groom was from Afghanistan, and the bride was half Sri Lankan, half Australian, so the day was a lovely mix of cultures. They did both a Persian ceremony and an Australian one, which made it feel so unique and personal.

Their bridal party was big—five bridesmaids and five groomsmen—and they all looked amazing. The bride and groom themselves? Absolutely gorgeous. And to make the moment even better, there was a young girl playing the harp. That harp music was something else—it made the whole place feel magical.

It was such an honor to be part of this celebration. Everything—the setting, the love, the mix of cultures—came together so perfectly. Weddings like this remind me why I love what I do.
